I remember picking you out of the litter with all of your brothers and sisters. You were the fattest, biggest and laziest one in the litter, but we fell in love with you instantly. We brought you home and loved you and watched you grow. Your Daddy was so excited to train you to go hunting with him. He spent hours in the backyard with you, teaching you have to retrieve and bring back. You learned your commands so easily, almost like you and your Daddy spoke the same language. While you were so eagerly learning from him, you were tormenting me by chewing all my shoes, and mind you only one shoe from different pairs, they couldn’t ever be from the same pair. You ate my couch one day when I left you alone for 45 minutes… I took one step in the front door and quickly shut it because I couldn’t believe that much stuffing could have fit in my couch. I ended up thanking you after your Dad bought me new furniture. Oh, Chaser boy… We miss you! We miss you so much! You gave us an amazing 10 1/2 years! I couldn’t have asked for a better boy, than you!
I’ll never forget how much you loved us. I’ll always appreciate you looking out for us. You never left my side when I was pregnant with the babies. You greeted them so kindly when I brought them each home. You’d let them lay on you and ride on your back and you were always so gentle. You truly were apart of this family and we’re feeling the void of not having you here. Anabelle misses you so much. She keeps sniffing around and watching for you out the window, waiting for you to come back. I know you’ll be there to greet her and that will be an amazing reunion.
Until we have our own reunion, my sweet boy. Keep chasing those ducks! I know you’ll get one and will be waiting for your Daddy and me.
Love, Mama
